Occupying my brain.

2020 has been a blast so far, right?

I’m lucky, my job has been fully remote since March, so I haven’t stopped working.

The downside is that I haven’t stopped working.

Some weeks it’s great, others there is so much to do and so little time to switch off. The days with back-to-back video calls are completely exhausting. Anyhow, I’m starting to feel a bit frayed at the edges, so I looked for things to occupy my brain that don’t involve computers for a bit.

I printed figures to paint, got a load of yeast, collected books from the lockdown library, even bought a mini potters wheel! While I start all these projects, I just don’t have the attention span to apply myself.

I think there is maybe only so much focus to go round and I’m focussed on keeping my job by keeping my colleagues and clients happy.

I’m also focussing on not giving myself a hard time – 2020 is brutal enough, so I’m being kind to myself.

So be kind.
