{"id":87,"date":"2015-06-01T18:31:59","date_gmt":"2015-06-01T17:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fluster.co.uk\/?p=87"},"modified":"2022-09-18T16:41:38","modified_gmt":"2022-09-18T15:41:38","slug":"e17-art-trail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fluster.co.uk\/wordpress\/2015\/06\/e17-art-trail\/","title":{"rendered":"E17 Art Trail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-88\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fluster.co.uk\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/art-trail-1024x576.png\" alt=\"art trail\" width=\"461\" height=\"246\" \/>I started the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.e17arttrail.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">E17 Art Trail<\/a> in 2005 with Laura Kerry.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a bit unique, and a bit fabulous. \u00a0Basically, it provides a framework for all of Walthamstow&#8217;s creative community to get out and show everyone what they can do.<\/p>\n<p>It started with 50 listings, with about 75 people exhibiting, and by 2015 we had 4000 participants in 350 events. \u00a0It totally takes over my postcode for 3 weeks in June.<\/p>\n<p>At the start, I was involved in running the project and the website, but for the last couple of years, I have not been involved, and the website is under new management.<\/p>\n<p>By June each year, the site is a massive listing database with images and details on all the events and exhibitions. \u00a0There is a flexible search system and it&#8217;s connected to a powerful mailing database to power the communications. \u00a0But that&#8217;s just the end point. \u00a0Starting in about December of January, we clear off the previous year&#8217;s participants and switch on the registrations. \u00a0So all of Walthamstow&#8217;s creative community can register their listings, pay their fee (Paypal) and edit the details of what they are up to.<\/p>\n<p>PHP, MySQL, PHPList (emailer). \u00a0Bespoke CMS.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"excerpt\">I started the E17 Art Trail in 2005 with Laura Kerry.
