Just like the post title, these are inspired by my youth. I wasn’t good enough to be a prefect at shool. Just not really smart enough or motivted to boss people about. My head of year took pity on me and gave me a prefect badge. I didn’t have to do anything for it, and I could still shout at the little kids. It was blue and shiny with gold lettering – a lot like the last image here.
Maybe also a bit like school, I have been forcing myself to try new things. The last few months and years have been a bit transformational for me. If you know, you know! So I wanted to make myself a shiny blue ‘Noob’ (newbie) badge – just to remind myself that I know nothing!
Then I fell in love with the little things and have been making them for other people. Loving the underglaze pencil affect as well as the gold leafing!
